I love surprises in life, the small ones.
The ones that make you stop amongst the crazy whirlwind we call life,
and smile and have a wee little moment in a bubble of joy that only are experiencing.
I couldn't stop smiling when I found a super sweet one in the library.
I was buring some time looking at the craft books when I opened a origami book and these delicate, hand-made beautifully cut creations floated out, and stopped me in thoughts and erratic page turning.
Someone has carefully and cleverly sat down and gently crafted these snowflakes out of scrap bits of paper–they're turned something that would normally be trash into art.
I wonder how long it took them to get them right?
The whimsical snowflakes have now been added to the box (rather large box might I add..) of things I have found that have sprung out at me. That have made me giggle, smirk and wonder..
I found a few more things I've added to my glory box.
Feather's I'm always a sucker for. It amazes me the variation and the softness of them.
All time favourite is people's shopping lists or little notes. I don't go round sneaking peoples shopping lists and scribbly bits, no way! They find me :)
People's hand writing fascinates me.
No idea at all what Chinese newspapers say. But if our alphabet looked this amazing would it really matter? Totally loving just looking at that letters individually, and then from afar..makes your eyes go funny.
While adding the crafted snowflakes to my box of joy, I stumbled apon a note my old flattie left in my bed for me, and yesh Nate you are right. I do enjoy the simple pleasures :)
